All health care professionals agree that eating more fruits,
vegetables, nuts and seeds is a positive step in creating
and maintaining good health.
Whilst there are many companies and organisations dedicated
to education in the realms of personal development, emotional
well being, and physical fitness – the important role
that food plays in our lives has often been neglected –
or reserved for traditional food education until now.
Early in 2001 Principal Genevieve Baster-Sallen travelled
to America for her life food training and was Australia’s
first qualified life food chef and instructor. She is considered
the premier life food / health educator in Australia. In addition
to conducting private food and health consultations, often
to those with debilitating diseases, she has been teaching
extensively for more than four years to groups of all sizes.
The mix of a background in corporate management and personal
development leadership, coupled with a history of serious
illness, furnishes her with first hand health knowledge and
experience for which there is no substitute. She has changed
her own life and dramatically improved her own health using
‘life food’. She is a sought after public
speaker sharing cutting edge nutritional information infused
with humour, and lively food demonstrations.
Passionately lifting the lid on food misconceptions and sharing
what we can do as individuals to positively contribute to

Life Food Cuisine is more than a good salad, it is an art form.
Fast food is reborn with healthy options and innovative twists;
pasta made only from vegetables, pates from nuts and vegetables,
totally healthy pizzas with nut cheeses, lactobacillus laden
yoghurt made from seeds, and decadent healthy creamy desserts
to rival the most delicious restaurant dessert menu. All made

Whilst
initially training in food, hospitality and five-star hotel
management in Europe, Genevieve has had a diverse and comprehensive
career leading to her current life service as a health educator,
qualified ‘life cuisine’ chef and instructor, author,
retreat facilitator, and lover of truly nutritious food.
Her career exploration has included senior management positions
within a variety of private organizations.
Disillusioned with the lack of integrity, and
genuine caring in the corporate world, her management career
concluded in 1992 when she resigned from her State Administration
Managerial position with a multi-national company to pursue
her goal of teaching adult education, in the field of personal
development.
Facilitating highly successful workshops for
both the general public and a variety of private organizations
and small businesses, she has addressed groups ranging in
size from 10 – 500 within Australia, New Zealand, and
America. She has also conceived, co-ordinated, and successfully
run local, national, and international
retreats ranging in duration from several days to several
weeks, for over 13 years to destinations including Queensland,
Bali, and Hawaii to name a few.
After a lifetime of poor health, and a decade
of serious and sometimes life threatening health challenges,
Genevieve explored commonly available natural and naturopathic
therapies, gradually improving her health. However, still
overweight, and sensing that a higher level of health was
yet to be experienced, she began a personal quest in search
of even greater wellbeing and vitality.
In 2001 she began intensively studying ‘life food
cuisine’ and expanding her already extensive food
knowledge. This included spending time training and qualifying
in the United States.
A sought after public speaker in the area of
health and wellbeing, she is the passionate, informative Principal
of the ‘Australian
School of Life Cuisine’ and creator of ‘A
Delicious Life’, both businesses are involved in
promoting Life food, health and wellbeing.
She has also taught at UWA Summer School.
In her workshops,
talks, and retreats she eagerly shares the ‘lifestyle
food choices’ she made, which created a bridge from
her own severe ill health, low energy, and excess weight,
to a world where she is many kilos lighter, energetic, glowing
and passionate in sharing her extensive knowledge in regard
to health, wellbeing, food and nutrition.
As a respected food
and health educator, she raises the bar on the definition
of good health, inspiring and guiding people to their fullest
health and vitality potential.
As well as consulting to the food and beverage
industry on vegetarianism, veganism, special dietary requirements
and life cuisine, she is also the guiding voice on the series
of ‘A Delicious Life’ meditation
CD’s.
